Our investing approach differs as we meet client objectives by analyzing a wide array of public (stock/bonds) and private investment opportunities—which may include real estate and the client’s own business. We believe in detailed due diligence, cash flow analysis and growth sustainability rather than relying upon diversification to reduce risk.

Importantly, we prefer to charge a fixed fee (vs. percentage of assets under management) for our services and we are entirely conflict-free as we sell no stocks, bonds, annuities or securities.

Fees That Are Fair

Our Fees

We prefer to charge a single, annual fee to cover our services. The annual fee, which is paid quarterly, may be slightly higher if you request our optional CFO/Controller or ERISA Fiduciary services. Please contact us if you would like a quote for our services.

Unlike other financial companies that quietly withdraw their fees directly from your account often without your explicit understanding, our fees are transparent, paid directly by our clients via a check and may be tax-deductible.

Importantly, we prefer not to charge a percentage-based assets under management fee (nevertheless, we will charge a percentage-based asset under management fee if the client prefers that fee structure) as this approach is extremely detrimental to your wealth creation--particularly as your retirement fund grows.

To demonstrate this negative impact, you may use the interactive simulator. By way of example, a 1% assets under management fee will reduce your investing profits by 24% over a 25 year period, and by 26% over a 30 year period (given annual contributions of $10,000 presuming a 6% return).

Under the same scenario, a 2% assets under management fee will reduce your profits by 35% over a 30 year period.

Investing Leadership

Keith Furuya

Keith is the Founder & President of Furuya & Co. He is an investment professional who works first and foremost from a perspective of a business management executive. He examines all investment opportunities holistically, examining all quantitative and qualitative aspects of its management, its financial position and its purchase price.

Prior to his entry into the investment world, Keith was a principal at The Links Group, a management consultant firm advising business owners and entrepreneurs on corporate finance, business strategy and technology.

Working in Silicon Valley, Keith consulted area start-ups with product strategy, development and marketing expertise. Keith also developed product and marketing strategies to launch Wi-Fi and mobile products for Xircom and Fujitsu, respectively. For five years, Keith worked as a design engineer for Watkins-Johnson Company, developing front-end and data link wireless receivers.

He is a graduate from Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He later received a Master of Business Administration from Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
